Aravind Jayaraman is a Carnatic Vocalist and hails from a musically renowned family. He is a grandson of Namasankeerthana Vidhvan Brahmashri Thiruvarur Shri Venkatarama Iyer. His musical journey started at an early age of 4 under the tutelage of Shri A. S Murali, Shri Abaswaram Ramji’s Isai Mazhalai, Smt. Radha Chandrasekar, Smt. Suguna. The passion he had towards the music made him to continue his advance learning under Padmavibhushan Sangeethakalacharya P.S. Narayanaswamy who is the disciple of Semmangudi Shri Srinivasa Iyer, Smt. Subhashini Balasubramaniam & Smt. Swetharanyam Sisters (Nithya Madam). He was fortunate and blessed to have accompanied various leading vocal artists, Bharatanatyam dancers and dance Guru’s all over India.
His versatility in vocal performance gave him the opportunity to other dance performance like Mohiniyatam. Performances: Natiyanjalis during Mahasivarathri festival.
Aravind has been a consistent vocalist accompanying various dance gurus for the Sabhas during the music seasons in Chennai. As an accompanying artist he has also been a part of various vocal concerts.
He has innovatively composed pushpanjalis, Thillanas, Jatheeswarams, Jathis and different laya patterns for dance ballets which has earned good reviews in newspapers and articles and had earned laurels to his credit.
Melakaveri Thyagarajan had initial training under the able tutelage of Dr.R.Karpagam M.A.,PhD (Music). Then had advanced training from Violin vidwan Ramanathapuram Shri Venkatachalam Iyer. Thigarajan had intense training from Shri V.L.Kumar, a veteran Violin player He focused his training in violin accompaniment & intricacies of Raga Alapana. Thyagarajan, a completely devoted professional artist has been accompanying leading artsites of carnatic music for the past 20 years.
Thyagarajan regularly playing violin in the December Music Season in all the Chennai City Sabhas viz. Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha etc. Thyagarajan is a B-High Grade Violin Artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai.
Gokula Krishnan, hails from the family of musicians. He is one of the front running disciples of Flute Maestro Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Padmashri Dr. N.Ramani.
He started his musical training under his father,T.S.Babu, a violinist by profession. He then switched over toPadmashree Dr.N.Ramani for his flute training. Now being trained by the senior disciple of Dr.N.Ramani Prapancham S.Balachandran.
Gokul is a performing artiste and has given many solo performances at different places Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan ,The Indian Fine Arts, Sarwani Sangeet Sabha, Ramani's Academy Of Flute [RAF], Shri Muthukrishna Swami Mission Trust, Melatur Bagavatha Mela and Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt. He has also accompanied Padmashri Smt. Chitra Vishweswaran, Padmabhushan Dr. Padma Subramaniam,V.P.Dhananjayan , Melatur Bhagavathamela (S.Natrajan’s group) kalaimamani Smt. Krishnakumari, Kalaimamni Smt. Urmila satyanarayanan, Kalaimamani Smt. Vani Jayaram, and many others. He is also an honorary tutor in Ramani's Academy of Flute [RAF], Chennai, at Lalitha Kala Mandir [Shri Muthukrishna Swami Mission Trust], Vallioor and was an honorary tutor in Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Institutions, Chennai. He went on a tour to Morocco, France and Germany in the year 2015 with Melatur Bhagavathamela.
He was rewarded as the best performer and the best teacher of Ramani's Academy of Flute, [RAF] in the year 2007 and 2008 respectively. So far he has done few flute arangetrams. In the year 2009 he has been received the title Asthana Vidwan of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram. In the year 2015, he was rewarded as AMRTHAVARSHAPURASKAR by Melatur Bhagavathamela.
Sathyanarayana had his initial training from S. Thillaisthaanam Suriyanarayanan. Later after several years of basic training had his advance training from the mridangam maestro Srimushnam Raja Rao. Sathya follows the Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer style of Mridanga playing.
Sathya had won many awards including the coveted "Yuva Laya Nandi Dasa". He is also an asthana vidwan of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peeta Asthana Vidwan Sathya has accompanied many Carnatic concerts and has accompanied all popular Bharathanatyam dancers. He has also participated in many world music concerts and devotional concerts. Sathya got the privilege of sharing the stage with the Oscar winner A.R Rahman and he has performed in many prestigious organizations in India.
He has toured Dubai and has done several workshops and master classes in Rhythm workshop Sathya has been featured in many popular TV channels like the Sun TV, Raj TV, Jaya TV, Podhigai. Sathya has toured Switzerland, Srilanka, Dubai, Azerbaijan. Sathya has been teaching Mridangam and has produced many high quality students. Sathya is devoted to propagate his Guru Srimushnam Raja Rao’s style of mridangam playing and has dedicated his life for this divine art.
